Glenwood Springs is a unique destination in Colorado with the largest hot springs pool in the world and America’s only mountaintop theme park. Glenwood Springs is located along I70 on the Colorado River west of Vail and northwest of Aspen.
Our top reason to visit Glenwood Springs is the hot springs. Iron Mountain Hot Springs has many smaller soaking tubs while Glenwood Hot Springs Resort holds the world record for pool size and is historical in being one of the oldest hot springs. There are many benefits to soaking in hot springs as each has a different mineral content and its own special experience, why not try them all?
Iron Mountain Hot Springs is ideal for couples with the option for adults only to experience a World Springs experience giving you access to 11 pools replicating the mineral content of hot springs worldwide such as Iceland, Japan, New Zealand, and more. Iron Mountain also serves adult beverages in the Sandbar Cafe.
Glenwood Cavern Adventure Park, America’s only mountaintop theme park is located at 7,100 feet above sea level. Ride the alpine coaster, explore the caves, or experience a thrill ride on the highest looping roller coaster: the U.S.: Defiance Roller Coaster.
Glenwood is a great destination for water sports such as fishing, rafting, and kayaking. Golfing is popular here in the summer as there are beautiful golf courses here in Glenwood Springs and south towards Aspen. A reminder that there is more than skiing here in Colorado! Sunlight Mountain Resort in Glenwood Springs is a great less crowded option than some of the larger ski resorts in Colorado.
