Nederland, CO
This quaint mountain town is about one hour northwest of Denver…
Barker Reservoir (pictured above) is right next to town where you can find good dining options and walk around… the drive through the mountains is a pretty good getaway in and of itself, especially in fall during fall foliage…

Romantic Cabin Getaway
Just 45 minutes west of Denver, there is a little lake town called Evergreen, CO where you can kayak or paddleboard (no swimming allowed… be sure to check for rules and details on the Evergreen Park & Recreation website)…
You can find cabins and other romantic getaways creekside and explore around the area…
Garden of the Gods
About an hour south of Denver is Garden of the Gods located right between Colorado Springs and Manitou Springs. There’s plenty of hiking and photo opportunities at Garden of the Gods…
